Vanessa Brown was an American actress whose notable career spanned parts of four decades. Vanessa Brown then became a mother by marrying again, this time to an American serviceman, Richard Henry Johnson. The marriage did not last long. It ended in divorce after only eighteen months of marriage. According to Vanessa Brown, the final straw was when her then-husband, Richard Henry Johnson, Jr. stopped speaking to her. The end of their marriage came after Vanessa Brown learned that her then-teenage son, Sam, had grown up and been deployed into the military. Vanessa, however, remained friendly with her son, though.

Vanessa Brown has also gained considerable prominence in the world of music, having won several awards both locally and nationally. Her work as a member of the television musical “This Is Spinal Street” helped launch the career of former Spice Girl Melanie Brown (a very young woman at the time) into stardom, while her appearance on “So You Think You’re A Witch” helped introduce a whole new generation to Sally Bowler, the first British woman to perform for America in a major Broadway play. Brown has also appeared in numerous films including “Dancing With The Stars,” “Cabaret,” and “Love Actually,” and she continues to gain notice in the entertainment world. While Vanessa Brown is not exactly a household name like Brown herself, she is definitely on the list of performers who should be recognized, due to her dedication to her craft, as well as her many contributions to the world of television and film.
