Sagarika Ghatge is the character created by Tarun Tahiliani. He wrote a book based on the life of Sagarika Ghatge, the first lady of Karnataka. She was born to a rich Indian father and grew up to be the first lady of Karnataka. She was married to a Portuguese explorer, later on she came to live in England. She had children and also retired as a queen.
Tarun Tahiliani’s novel has a lot of twists and turns. In this story Sagarika Ghatge has been playing the lead role since the beginning. However, she has also faced criticism because of her physical looks. People thought that she was too beautiful to be the role model for the little girls of the country. However, Tarun Tahiliani kept on adjusting her look according to the age and occasions and also the characters of the story.

The story says that when she went to the casting for the role of Nellie, they didn’t find her tall for the character. So, they made Sagarika taller for the film. However, when they measured the final result, it was found out that Sagarika Ghatge was not really taller than six feet but actually she was only one inch taller than the real Nellie.
