JoJo is an American actress, dancer, and singer. She is most well known for her appearances on Dance Moms as well as her mother, Jessalynn Siwa for the first two seasons, and for her many singles “Boomerang”, “kid in a candy store” and “You Are Mine”. She has also appeared in a few videos for channels other than Dance Moms.

JoJo is originally from Dakota, Minnesota. When she was young she was always interested in performing and she attended dances classes as well as performing arts and crafts. In order to support herself, she began working at an ice cream parlor. Later in her teens she moved back to California and began appearing on television and performing at clubs.

JoJo first made a video for her song “Your Pretty Face” which was featured on the Best Coast chart. This song went viral quickly and in turn was featured on many other platforms including iTunes and Facebook. JoJo’s first social media outlet was Instagram where she posted several pictures of her enjoying what appeared to be the very first dance that anyone had ever been required to perform in front of anyone. JoJo has also used several social media platforms to promote her music including Twitter and Facebook. Many of her fans are tweeting about their love of JoJo and sharing photos of her and other famous dancers at various events. One fan even created a Twitter account exclusively for JoJo and others are sharing their thoughts about JoJo on various social media outlets.

JoJo began using YouTube in 2009 to promote herself and her music. JoJo first gained attention when she was seen performing at a charity concert in New York where she showcased a unique dance style that was completely original and did not resemble any dance she had ever done before. JoJo then released a series of videos for several different artists including myself and Billie Jean and debuted the song “Boomerang” which was written by none other than pop artist David Cook.

Boomerang is the first song JoJo has released since the release of her first major studio album called Wildfire. It is also the song that has set the tone for everything that JoJo has released since then. In the video for “Boomerang” JoJo can be seen at a nightclub dancing with several friends while holding large balloons in her arms and at one point during the song she swings a giant mallet like a club bouncer and takes a swing at one of the balloons floating behind her. This is when it became clear to many who had never seen JoJo prior to this video how skilled she truly is.

Viacom International is currently working on their second album. Expect some exciting new music from JoJo and Viacom as they work on their crafty and sultry songs for the rest of the decade.
