She is the youngest of four children, with two older stepmothers and four younger brothers. She also made several guest appearances on the series as well. Her extensive filmography also includes “How I Live Now”, “The Perfect Score” and “The Game”. Prior to “The Perfect Score”, Allen had guest spots on “ER”, “Law and Order”, “The X-Files” and “Heroes”.

Christa B. Allen has gone on to star in many other successful television shows, including “Raising Helen” for which she received an Emmy award for. Her notable supporting role on this show was the characterizations of her two daughters, who were played by Constance Wilson and Michael Chiklis respectively. She later went on to play the title role in the movie “Catch Me If You Can” which was directed by Steven Soderbergh. In the film, Allen’s character tries to catch a killer after he steals her mother’s wedding ring.

Christa B. Allen is most well known for her starring role as the title character in the series “Raising Helen”. The series was a spinoff of the hit television show “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, and the series focused on the life of its heroine, while taking place in New England amongst her four elder stepisters. The show focused on all of the day to day events that surrounded Helen. Additionally, she had a small role as the mother of one of her four younger step sisters in the movie “Catch Me If You Can”. She then went on to star in the movies “Irene” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for which she won a Golden Globe Award for.

Allen had a very varied career throughout her lifetime. She had a lengthy and diverse association with Broadway, working on such notable shows as “Man of the Year” for which she was nominated for. She also appeared in several movies including “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for which she again received an Emmy for. Her later years were focused on her memoir “Wings” which chronicled her early life and her relationships throughout it all. It was later turned into a play and later a film starring Anne Hathaway and Leonardo DiCaprio.
