Erika Elenik is a writer of children’s books and has written over twenty books for adults. Her works with animals and youth have earned her the respect of her peers and the admiration of her fans. She was born and raised in Southern California. According to her bio-page on her website, Erika was born in Los Angeles and was raised there with her parents. At age seven her mother gave birth to her first child. She dropped out of school after just one year because she did not feel that she was capable of focusing on college.

After dropping out of school, Erika moved back to Southern California to live with her cousin, her mother’s boyfriend, her grandmother and her cousin’s new boyfriend. From this point on, she changed her name to Erika Elenik. From this point forward, her name would repeatedly appear on the pages of children’s books, teen novels, adult novels, science fiction novels, poetry and several articles in various periodicals. In fact, her first published work was a poem entitled “The Boy Who Played Cupid” which was later made into a movie of the same name.
The Boy Who Played Cupid, written as a poem by Erika Eleniak was made into an animated film and starred Dabney Coleman. This was not only a great success for Elenik but also for producers of animated films at the time. This film went on to spawn several other animated movies and TV shows such as “Home”, “The Incredibles”, “X-Men” and “The Princess and the Frog.” Another of her “boy-and-girl” series was titled “Love.” It was a hit with both genders and went on to become one of the year’s highest grossing movies.
Finally, there was another of her “boy-and-girl” series of books wherein she was once again cast as the lead. This time, she was cast as a former professional tennis player known as Baywatch. It was supposed to be a spin-off of the “Baywatch” character she had played in the prior movie. But it never came to be. Instead, Eleniak became known for playing the character of Ariel Winter in the movie adaptation of the book series.
And so, these are some of the highlights of Erika Elenik’s long and varied career in the performing arts. She has appeared in hundreds of theater plays, music concerts, film appearances, TV shows, advertisements, publishing appearances, and more. As an actor, she has been nominated for Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Awards, Satellite Awards, Video Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and more. She has also been an integral part of numerous notable speaking engagements, including a role as a featured speaker at the 2021 Olympics, as well as serving as a member of the Oprah Winfrey Team, which she serves as a consulting executive with.
