While talking about their early years together, Mukherjee and Badmashiyaan both admit that they fell in love with each other from the beginning. However, there was always an underlying tension between Aish and Suzanna, as the latter always tended to be more of an observer than a participant in the relationship.
Suzanna Mukherjee has revealed that Aishwarya Rai was the main force behind setting up the ‘Aishwarya Rashmi Yatra’ as it was popularly known. The name for this event was established after Aish entered the path of Lord Jagdishtha, who was the king of Rajasthan at that time. On reaching Lord Jagdishtha, Aish noticed the poor condition of the king and was so moved that he offered his services as a macro (mara) who would visit the king. However, the king turned down the offer and told Aish to go back home, where he would find a better wife. Aish returned home and set up the ‘Aishwarya Rashmi Yatra’ at Srinagar. This led to Aishwarya becoming even more popular in her town, and she was soon cast as the lead character in her first television show, ‘Badmashiyaan’.
Suzanna Mukherjee has revealed that she and Aishwarya were good friends before they began filming the reality show, and that it changed their entire life.
