Aishba Yousaf is a Pakistani actress, model and writer who has worked in Pakistani television shows and films. She is also married to an American man. Born in Karachi, Aishba migrated with her family from Pakistan to the United States when she was young. She obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California.

Aishba Yousaf is one half of the popular duo of actress Soha Karamchili and Pakistani singer Mehdibul Haq. The two first met in 1994 and since then their relationship went through several ups and downs but finally Aishba left Mehdibul Haq to pursue her acting career in Hollywood. She has appeared in some very good Pakistani and Indian movies and television shows and has acted in several high profile international movie films.

Aishba Yousaf had earlier appeared in at least four feature films and her early work was in soap operas. Later, she appeared in about twelve more films and her breakthrough role was in Salam Khan, which won her the film leading role as well as the Golden Globe for the best actress category. Her other notable roles include the action-adventure film Brink, the super-heros Karate Kid and the romantic comedy No Ordinary Family. All these were released between 1998 and 2021.

After the success of Brink, Aishba headed towards her first major acting role in Kundan, a drama that was based on the novel written by her mentor and friend Mina Kulkarni. The film did not receive enough promotion at the time and Aishba was busy with other projects but her performance in the film managed to garner her a Bollywood Filmfare Award for Best Actress in the same year. Later, she continued to star in movies like the Ajit and Bhumika in which she again managed to score high. In fact, she has also made guest appearances in some popular Hindi films such as Welcome, Bhai Ki Ghazab Kahani and Jodha Akbar. She finally returned to her action-thriller genre with the award winning movie Ganges.

After Mina Kulkarni’s death, Aishba went onto to play the lead role in another film, called Baahubali. This film was released in October last year and went on to bag over three hundred and seventy million dollars at the box office! In this movie, Aishba plays the role of the evil queen, Mumtaz, who commands the forces of the evil demon lord Volda. Aishba is also known to have been associated with Pakistani actor Saleema Akhtar, who is well known for her action roles. It is also believed that Aishba may have been in touch with Irfan Khan, who is an immensely popular actor from Pakistan and whose films include the hit Tees Maar Khan and Apne for his contribution to the genre of action-thriller. It is also believed that Aishba could have been in touch with Sharukh Khan, who is popularly known as Shakeelmal.

However, Aishba has denied all the above and maintained that she was never in touch with any of these celebrities. Aishba is currently busy with her acting career in India, where she is getting married very soon. In fact, Aishba has already been married once before and it was to Rajinisita actor Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is based in India. The marriage between Aishba and Sanjay Leela Bhansali happened sometime back when the latter was making a film in India called Kaal Bhavan. After the marriage, Aishba decided not to take any more TV commercials and instead concentrate on acting.
