Erika Alexander is an American stand up comedy artist best known for her appearances on the NBC comedy series The Cosby Show, as Pam Tucker on The Cosby Show and as Maxine Shaw on The OC. She has also had a number of credits on television including appearances on Wheel of Fortune, Modern Family and Seal Beach, and has also had some small screen work including appearances on Smallville and Here Comes the Bride. Erika Alexander grew up in Brooklyn, New York City, and spent her early years learning to stage and perform stand up comedy at community colleges and her school’s theater department. In the lead-up to the fourth season of Theicks, Erika received a brief cameo as herself in an episode, playing the crazed mother of a boy killed in a car crash. Although many people thought the cameo was meant to be a joke, the actress’ performance quickly gained popularity. Her character’s lunatic rage soon caught on, and hundreds of fans showed up in the streets of New York to support her. Erika quickly became a favorite on her own show, Theicks, as well as being a long-time guest star on The Carol Burnett Show.
