Once the movie was released in 2021, it was critically acclaimed by both audiences and critics and went on to become one of the highest grossing movies of all time. For this movie alone, Angelina Jolie earned the Best Actress award and became the second woman ever to win the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
