Laurel’s professional life spanned four decades, starting with her graduation from the University of Southern California where she pursued a degree in English, graduating cum laude before embarking on a career in writing for television. After several years in New York, Laurel had what she described as the “life changing” experience of being cast in a small role in the classic science-fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still and being asked to read a script reading about space ships. This led her to start her career in writing and studying technical aspects of creating television programs. Her first job was in programming, writing episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series while she was still studying at USC. She received her first TV script in fact and that set her on her path to becoming one of Hollywood’s top scriptwriters.
After receiving her honors degree, Laurel began work on writing episodes of episodes for television including Lost, The Incredible Hulk, and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. After that, she wrote episodes of X-files, Psych, Chuck and We Are Marshall, among many others. Other TV shows she has written for include 24, Scrubs, Frasier, and Everybody Loves Raymond. In addition, Laurel spent the last three seasons of The Simpsons writing for the show, where she also guest-starred on The Futurama episode “apex.”
Laurel’s other credentials include being a certified bra fitter, an accomplished musician (she sings with a chamber band in addition to playing keyboards), and a personal trainer. In terms of her physical appearance, Laurel is described as being extremely trim with long straight black hair and dark brown eyes. Her skin complexion is described as pale to a few shades lighter than the typical Caucasian. Her skin tone may be described as having some tan, and her hair color is usually brunette. She wears make-up that is off-white with blue eyes, and her body measurements are exactly 5 feet 6 inches tall, and her weight is typically between forty-five to fifty-five pounds.
As you can see, Laurel’s race, ethnicity, and age are irrelevant when it comes to body measurements. As far as appearance goes, Laurel is about average, though not as well-groomed as some of her female counterparts. As is typical of the brides on the bride’s blogs and websites, Laurel has a smallish, but exquisite wedding gown. It is described as a sequined beige dress that features a V style in a full skirt and a flared skirt. The overall effect is one of a modern day sultry bride.
