The writer Sandhya Mridul biography tells how Mrs. Bhagat Mata began her illustrious journey to freedom and why she eventually ended up with an orphaned life after her marriage to Hindu king Bhagat Tagore. She also shares how her life was transformed by two famous events. The first was her marriage to Sanjay Gandhi who was a famous leader of the Indian freedom movement. They were married in a private compound at Rana Bhavan located in Mumbai. Shortly thereafter Sandhya’s elder sister Devangatha moved in with them and the writer would then begin her long and colorful association with Bikram yoga.
After a short time as a member of Bikram group Sandhya started working with Sanjay Gandhi and other members of the Indian Independent Artists Association as well as the film director Sharukh Khan. Soon she began working on a book entitled “Indian Movies: Recipes of Love” with her sister and friend Priya Krishna. After this she set out to work on the television screen, appearing in some popular Hindi television serials which are still popular today. She is currently one of the highest paid actresses in India and has also appeared in some Hollywood films like Baahubali, Gyaneshwar and a remake of an Indian movie called “Chak De! India” which was made by the popular TV actor, Deepika Padamsee. Other than this she has also appeared in some popular international movies in such films as “Iruvar” and “Dhoom Reloaded” which costarred Ranbir Kapoor.
