Hansika’s most accomplished role to date is Bhumika in Kannagi (2000), which won her the best actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Hansika is not tied to just Tamil cinema, however. She has also acted in Chinese and Japanese movies, as well as in Hollywood blockbusters such as Empire of the Sun (2000).
