Her career spanned just four decades, and she failed to make any films in India after quitting her film career. However, she did appear in the legendary Hollywood movie called “The Great Bazaar”, which was set in India. Her other two films that came to Indian audiences were “Shodh” and “Trespass”. These two films made her popular in the United States and provided her with much needed recognition in her home country. The biographer has successfully shed light on the actress’ humble beginnings and the manner in which she channeled her natural beauty and talent to meet her career goals and expectations.

The author rightly claims that the world will miss her if she is not brought into the limelight once again. However, this can be done only if her films are well received in the foreign countries. This is the major strength of the book, which is written in an informative and lucid manner. The next time a viewer wants to know about the life and works of the most famous Indian actresses of our times, they should make a note of “Zarina Wahab Biography”. It will be read by many generations to come for it contains fascinating details of the career of one of our most celebrated personalities.
