Youyi’s most well-known film roles include the films The Dog Eat Man (2021) and Rounders (also with Simon Peake). Her multiple award nominations throughout the years have earned her the reputation of being one of the best presenters in Singapore and Asia. It is rare to see a female presenter win so many awards, but since Singapore is still relatively new, it is unlikely that such accolades will continue to come. Perhaps, female presenter will be more common in the coming years. Youyi is currently contracted to Universal Pictures, but has not disclosed what projects she will be involved in.

Youyi’s two film appearances were particularly noteworthy because they occurred at the same time as her winning performance in the best current affairs presenter role at the 2021 awards ceremony. Youyi took home the award for the best current affairs presenter for her reporting of the Iraq War. Two months later, she was also nominated for the same award for her reporting of the flooding in Singapore and northern Thailand. The flood damaged or destroyed much of the tourism industry, making it difficult to find a hotel in the region. Youyi was also a contributing writer for Time magazine’s Asian edition.

Youyi’s next public appearance will be at the International Awards Ceremony taking place in Singapore in the month of April. Youyi’s performance this year made her one of the best presenters in the field and she is certainly the tip of the iceberg when it comes to presenting news.
