Suhasini’s son Priyadarshan is now busy directing and acting in his own films, while Suhasini enjoys working at her day job in a dentist office in Chennai. Suhasini is happy about her status and hopes that one day she too will be conferred the Order of South Indian Ophthalmologist.

Suhasini Maniratnam is yet to face any negative criticism from the Karnataka government on the actress’ name. They have already removed the name of Suhasini Maniratnam as the heroine of their latest movie “Nanban”. Although there is criticism, Suhasini herself is not bothered about it. “If the government thinks that I am bothering them, they can take me to some reformatory. Besides, who will stop me from becoming a superstar??”
