Actress Shweta Tiwari has become a popular personality of the Indian movie industry. She is largely recognized for playing the role of Prerna Sharma, a fictional character of Indian Television. She became famous with her first character of Prerna Sharma, in TV Serial Kedar Talwar Kiya Te Yayva Kamal at TV serials aired on Star Plus. She went on to play various other important characters and earned significant recognition for her roles in television serials and later in different movies.

Shweta Tiwari began her acting career after landing a small role in Kamal Amrohiya Ke Khaleja. She later played the main character of Prerna Shimli in another popular serial name zindagii ke khaleja. She has gone on to play a number of important characters in well known telefilms, and gained significant success in her acting career. It was also because of this acting career that Shweta Tiwari’s husband Rajareshwar Tiwary continued to work on a low budget Hindi movie produced by Kamal Amrohiya known as Baahubali.

Shweta Tiwari’s first film as an actress in Hindi films was the comedy film Mankatha. She had a fine role in this film alongside Aishwarya Rai and Shobha Roy. She then appeared in a popular Hindi movie titled Lodi Kohli Ki Ghazab Kahani (The Lady from the Flowers) with Shehnaz Khan. Shweta Tiwari played the comic role of Henna Kohli who had a relationship with an Indian terrorist suspect. Her last Hindi film as an actress was the comedy film Baahubali.

As an actress in India, Shweta Tiwari has made an impressive list of Indian reality shows and has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in Bhumika in Kismetan. She also had a role in Om Shanti Om, Priyadarshan and Chopra kittiya. In all, she has appeared in a number of best selling films and won critical acclaim for her roles. She is one of the best known and admired actresses from India and has achieved a great status in Hollywood.

Shweta Tiwari was born in Hyderabad and is one of three children of Subhas Chandra Bose and Babu Shaily. She has one sister Tarun and one younger brother Ansal. She is described by other members of her family as a very loving daughter who tries very hard not to ruin her looks by wearing too much make-up. She has been described by them as having dark skin and small brown eyes, which are the result of her mother’s profession as a dentist.

She was born in September, 1918 and was described by her father as being thin and delicate. She was just four years old when her parents sent her to the Government Girls School in Shimla. She joined in the same school in 1920 and completed the training programme in Government Classes at the age of sixteen. Shweta Tiwari was known then for her beautiful complexion and for being one of the taller and heavier girls in the school.

After completing her schooling, she joined the theatre department and began appearing in different reality shows in the years that followed. She is also credited with creating her own popular theme song ‘Bhabi Mashi’ which means ‘Good Looking Girl’. She finally decided to try out her hand in the film industry and appeared in a number of Hindi films. Amongst her many roles in Hindi movies, perhaps one of her best known is that of Madhavi in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaniya. She actually played the role of a common school girl from Shimla who falls in love with an American soldier serving in the army and ends up getting married to him.
