Paula Abdul Biography Paula Abdul grew up in Southern California as the daughter of an Omani family. She was always known as a “pomponista” due to her energetic, adventurous and sexy ways of speaking and dressing. Her passion for music began at a very early age with classical piano lessons. She was inspired by the legendary performer Enya and was determined to be just like her, even when she was very young. She moved on from piano to singing and performing throughout Europe, eventually making it home to the United States where she was signed by Paula Abdul and the rest is history.
Paula Abdul and Her World Now album was first released in the United Kingdom in 1998. This album included the singles We Can Be Heroes and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. The album did not do well financially and Paula Abdul returned to her native Los Angeles to work on new material. She also worked with the artist Don Ed Hardy on his album Hard.
Paula Abdul: Cold Hearted And Wild Ones were the third single off her second album forever. Although the title says it all, this is really not the case. This single does not sound like Paula at all, but it is still a great song and proves that Paula is still a talented singer and songwriter. This is the only track on the album forever, that does not have vocals performed by Paula.
Paula Abdul: Wild Ones On this beautiful pop album from Paula Abdul, we hear the sweet sultry tones of “Give Me The Reason,” which serves as the basis for the theme of the whole album. This is a great pop album that will not disappoint anyone. “Give Me The Reason” features an amazing choir that can be hard to beat. It is certainly worth the money and will serve as the icing on the cake after all of Paula Abdul’s singles have been played. It is one of the most well-done songs on the album and provides a nice change of pace after the acoustic music.
