Lucille Bremer is best remembered from her appearance on the television series Everybody Loves Raymond. She played the cynical, yet sweet and loving character Potsie, a hard-boiled beauty who became the heart of Raymond Chandler’s tough detective, Dick Tracy. Lucille was cast as the first black female character that appeared on TV, aged 29, in any show in existence prior to that time.

Lucille is currently promoting her own stage play, “Nutcracker”, which opens on April 8th. Prior to that, she will be appearing in the film “Love Actually” as an American film actress and dancer. Lucille will also be featured in the upcoming Universal Pictures/MGM release “Young Victoria”. Lucille will celebrate her birthday on April 21st. Her ninety-one-year-old birthday will be honored by throwing a party in her honor at the Hotel Marlowe in New York City.

If Lucille is watching the film industry at all, it will be to see whether Audrey Hepburn reprises her role as Lucille, or if Lucille will have to find a new love. Lucille has always been a favorite of hers, and she had the greatest success of her career playing the mean girl in “All about Eve”, “My Fair Lady” and “The Deerhunter” for MGM.
