As mentioned, Kimberly J. Brown first found success with her appearance on the popular television show, M.A.S.H. During this appearance, she portrayed the character of Kimberly Palmer, a girlfriend of Tom Hanks’ on the show. Kimberly was nothing more than a stunt girl for the role, but soon after this, her acting career began to flourish. She went on to play the same role in the second, third, and fourth films of the series, which resulted in her becoming one of the best known and most respected female Hollywood actors of the time.

Although M.A.S.H. was canceled after the first season, it was able to overcome cancellation due to the fact that it featured a great cast that would continue to grow into great stars like Patrick Swayze, Christopher Walken, and Meg Ryan. The same cannot be said for other miniseries such as Grease or Beverly Hills. Though the television networks are less likely to green light a project if there are few characters to speak of, this does not mean that Kimberly J. Brown is not capable of filling the role of the show’s loveable yet irritatingly incompetent housekeeper, Ann.

There are many examples of how Kimberly J. Brown has performed well when playing the character of the infirm housekeeper. For instance, in the episode “Tumbleweeds”, Kimberly J. Brown played the role of an elderly housekeeper, who was depicted as having dementia. Viewers took to this representation as the elderly woman being very senile and wise beyond her years. Many critics even concluded that the character was more intelligent and wiser than Ann Fucking Wellwell, the previous caretaker of the home. In a later episode, “Pineapple,” Brown was seen as the caring yet domineering wife of the show’s main character, John Candy.

Another episode that will most certainly be remembered by anyone who had an involvement with the show is the one wherein Kimberly J. Brown portrayed the irrepressible and foul-mouthed young witch, Annabelle. When the show began, nobody knew quite what to expect from it since it was a new company that had yet to gain any notoriety. However, the writers soon realized that they had found their ace in the hole by hiring Kimberly J. Brown. Within the next four installments, Annabelle became a favorite amongst viewers and even gained a standing as a lead character in her own right.
