Winner of eleven Emmys including one for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Danielle Fishel is one of the most prolific and accomplished talents that Hollywood has ever seen. Best known for playing Topanga Lawrence in Boy Meets Girl, Danielle Fishel has been the quintessential teenage girl-next-doors for much of her acting career, dating both boy and girl actors alike. She has also spent time developing several other successful television shows including Private Practice, Judgingcy, and spinoff of E.T., and even guest starring on an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Aside from her illustrious acting career, Danielle Fishel has also established her own film directing and producing credits, most notably her 2021 movie No Ordinary Family. This low-budget picture earned her an additional cameo as herself in the sequel, No Ordinary Family II, though she was only credited as an extra. elevision for the past ten years, no doubt Fishel would feel at home behind the microphone, hosting her own talk show on E! While her time on E! was largely devoted to hosting, she did also spend some time doing live telecasts from her L.A. apartment and even appeared on stage with her husband, Dan O’Brien, on the hit daytime talk show, The View. Following boy chat shows on several cable channels as well as appearances on various news and comedy programs, Fishel has since honed her comedic writing skills.
Aside from her career on television, Fishel has also spent some time performing on the Broadway stage, playing opposite famed actor/actress Danny Zuko in the musical The Lion King, as well as the lead role in the musical Once. She is also known for her supporting appearances on television shows such as The O’Reilly Factor, Frasier, Family Law, and The Simpsons. As a rising star in the world of stand-up comedy, it is little wonder that Fishel has found her way into the world of leading acting, having found numerous opportunities to showcase her acting skills on the Broadway stage as well as television.
What makes Fishel’s presence more notable is her long association with current California State University, Sacramento campus, where she has enjoyed a lengthy tenure as an enrolled student as well as a member of the faculty. Additionally, Fishel has not been a stranger to Sacramento, having also lived in the area for three years while attending Cal Polytechnic State University. During her time as a resident of Sac at Sacramento, Fishel has found time to enjoy numerous other activities, which include playing the piano, golfing, dabbling in painting, participating in summer camp, traveling, and even participating in Trojan football.
Danielle Fishel is certainly one of the most impressive casts of charters that I have ever seen in my many years of theater watching. Her unique portrayal of the character of June Cleaver shows just how far a comedian can come while still maintaining a sense of humor, making it easy for audiences to identify with her personality and her experiences in her role as a lawyer representing the plaintiffs in the mesa litigation case against defendantrial lawyer. In fact, Fishel has managed to combine acting talent with substantial degrees of ability in other areas as well, such as directing, writing, and producing. All in all, Fishel is an actor that I look forward to seeing.
