Barbara Feldon was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in nearby Bethel Park. Her parents were dairy farmers and taught Feldon and her two sisters and one brother all about farming, making and eating cheese. Her acting career began in the late 1940s, and she appeared in such memorable movies as “Dangerous”, “My Fair Lady”, and “From This Moment”, among others. She went on to star in “The Heartbreak Kid”, “The Best Man”, and “A Fish called Wanda”. These films earned her the notice of Hollywood, and later appearances in “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”, “All about Eve”, and “All about Eve Part II” helped to make Barbara Feldon one of the best known and best loved actors in Hollywood.

After a short-lived drama series entitled “Fortunate Few” which lasted only one season, Feldon moved on to starring in more successful and memorable movies and appearances including “How I Live Now”, “Caroline Springs”, “Guess How Much I Love You”, and “The Perfect Score” in which she played the lead role herself. In the latter episode, “The Perfect Score”, Feldon plays a married woman who lives a double life with her new husband. Her husband is rich, wealthy, by the way, and he also happens to be a musician. The show was canceled after one season, and Feldon would never again appear on a network television show.

But in the mid-nineties, Felderon found another type of success with her appearance on “Fantasy Island” as an associate of the well-known neurotic Trista Sutter. Though the show was canceled after one season, it is still fondly remembered by fans of the series. In one episode, Felderon plays a married woman who has an affair with a man half her age. In other appearances, she has been shown wearing tight clothes, appearing a bit sultry and sexy. It is unclear whether those scenes were filmed while Felderon was actually on “Fantasy Island,” or if those shots were simply screencaps from the show that were later used elsewhere.

Barbara Feldon is certainly not a one-hit wonder, but she has definitely had some very successful careers. She appears on “Fantasy Island,” “The Perfect Score,” “Beverly Hills Cop,” “The Secret,” “Who Do You Think You Are?” and “How I Met Your Mother.” Not bad for a career that started out on Broadway.
