Annette became part of the cast of the hit film “Young Victoria” – and from there, it was destined to be her most popular role to date. The film itself is about four young women who move to California (as do all of the famous Mouseketeers) and meet their own series of young ladies who are Swans. The film was incredibly popular, grossing over $400 million at the worldwide box office. Annette played the lead role of the beautiful and mysterious “Swan Queen”, who was introduced in the first episode.

In the fifth episode of the series, “Swan Lake: Pink Flamingos”, which was later made into a sequel to the film, Annette returns as the swan queen, along with her four teen friends. Here, the focus switches to another group of mice: Vanessa, Fischer, Beth, and Rachel. Annette’s character is now starring in her own spin-off, “Annette’s Fishbowl”, as a grandmother. Although it’s unclear what the basis for this is, it looks set to be another trend for the famed Disney Princesses. The lead role in the new fish-filled franchise has been cast, yet no word has been released regarding whether or not Annette will have a role in either of these movies. But in case she does, you can expect to see an all-new look for the famous Disney Princess…

After her short stint on “Annie and Daisy” (the film that launched both Annette and the legendary mouseketeer), Annette was seen in several more films, most notably “Million Dollar Baby”. The subsequent “edsimonious” movie, “edsimonious” (again, a title borrowed from the animated cartoon), “Million Dollar Baby” gave birth to the image of Annette’s long-term love interest, John Ratzenberger. The late Ratzenberger had been a part of Annette’s life ever since they were pre-schoolers, attending the same church, and hanging out at the same parties. After “edsimonious” became an abomination, John and Annette got married, to which the “edsimonious” image came about.

In the final scene of “edsimonious”, Annette is seen reading a poem that was written by her son. It simply read, “Don’t worry! Everything is good!” However, with the help of some quick thinking, Annette realizes that the happy tune isn’t so great after all, as her husband has just announced that they’re getting divorced.
