Amala Biography is the life of the renowned award-winning actress, Bharata Amala. Born in 1913 Amala was a pupil of prominent figures like Madhubala Paul, Ram Gopal Varma and Amrita Sher-Gil. After graduation she went on to work in numerous film companies in the region and also rose to become the regional head of the YMCA. However, it was her performance in the award-winning Telugu film “Maqbool Fidaaz” that kick started her illustrious career. Following this she went on to play a leading role in several other popular movies and earned critical acclaim for her work.
Amala first came into the limelight when she was cast in the first Hindi movie of the 80s called “Nanban”. Though not very popular, Amala’s presence established her as one of the biggest faces in local cinema. She later went on to play prominent characters in movies like Maqbool Fidaaz, Randa Mukherjee’s “Kurban” and Sharukh Khan’s “Naan”. Amala’s most famous role however would be in the award-winning Hindi film “Man Bhavana”, in which she plays the pivotal role of Javed Akhtar. Amala was also one of the very first female actors to be seen in the Bengali movie “Singh In” before Bollywood made their appearance.
