Aksha Pardasany was born in Mangalore in the small fishing village of Alleppey, Kerala. Aksha’s father worked as a clerk for an Indian Ocean freight company, while her mother taught Aksha herself all about caring for siblings, preparing meals at home, and the value of education. Aksha was one of the first notable actresses from Tamil Nadu to be seen in Telugu movies, and her Telugu features earned her a number of awards including the best actress award at the 1999 Satellite Awards.
