Aksha Pardasany was born in Mangalore in the small fishing village of Alleppey, Kerala. Aksha’s father worked as a clerk for an Indian Ocean freight company, while her mother taught Aksha herself all about caring for siblings, preparing meals at home, and the value of education. Aksha attended Mangalore Senior Secondary School, where she earned a degree in Public School Nursing, before going to college in Singapore. Aksha then joined the Singapore Riving School, where she pursued a course in public health nursing. Aksha then spent four years in the Public Health Department of the Government of Karnataka, before shifting to Kanyakumari.
Aksha was one of the first notable actresses from Tamil Nadu to be seen in Telugu movies, and her Telugu features earned her a number of awards including the best actress award at the 1999 Satellite Awards. Aksha Pardasany also gained some acknowledgment outside India with her performances in some Telugu movies like Kismet Konnection, Ayurvedic Malaad, and the Yojana. Aksha Pardasany later went on to act in many Tamil movies of her own, and has since gone on to act in some Hollywood films, including Kannan, Kiya Prakashan, Devraj, and more.
