Alice Faye is well known today in the world as either an artist or a singer/songwriter. However, she is actually an American first-rate singer and songwriter who had a reputation as being an eccentric and somewhat dangerous woman. Alice Faye was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1954. She is remembered today for being one of the founding members of the Velvet Underground. In this location, she became something of a celebrity, even being interviewed by numerous television news programs, including The Oprah Winfrey Show. Inevitably, the media discovered the real identity of Alice Faye, which was Rudy Vallee, a.k.a., Alice “Poo” Faye. Vallee had been Alice Faye’s former stage partner and during the course of their relationship, he had propositioned her. He had also been the husband of Alice’s sister, Phoebe.

During the course of their relationship, Alice had asked Alice to marry him and offer to pay off her family should she die. However, Vallee was not interested in purchasing the rights to the fortune that Alice was claiming and he simply wanted to be left alone. On a hot summer day, Alice decided it would be a good idea for them to go to the Tin Pan Alley area to have coffee and sandwiches. While in the restaurant, Alice noticed a man who seemed to be following them. When they reached an elevator, the stranger suddenly announced to Alice, “You’re Alice Faye!”
