In 1984 Julie Bovasso married another successful artist, Richard Lewis, who managed to launch Julie Bovasso into stardom. They had two children, a son named Alex and a daughter named Ruth. The Lewis family lived in a home in the Hamptons, which became increasingly overcrowded. In order to accommodate all of their growing brood, the couple decided to build a home right on the East River in Brooklyn, New York City.
This would be where Julie Bovasso’s Saturday Night Fever would be born. On the September of September fifteen, she along with her husband and her family went to the newly opened Channel Six studios in New York City. On the evening of the sixteenth, the Bovasis arrived at the studio just in time for the first performance of their daughter’s play, A Sunday Romance. During the play the actress received a phone call from her good friend, September, who told her that her play was being canceled due to some unidentified “courageous” audience members complaining.
The next day, the play went on as planned. Then on the morning of the day of September twenty-one, Julie Bovasso passed away from a massive heart attack brought on by stress. This tragic day has become known as the “Julie Bovasso death” in New York City. Many people believe that this tragic death was somehow connected to the September of September fourteen when the playwright received a phone call from his good friend, September.
