Kate Bosworth is an American actor and professional model. She has portrayed KC in the television series The I-Land. The I-Land was created by Netflix. She has since gone on to feature in a number of films and commercials. Kate Bosworth was born in the city of Hampshire, Massachusetts in 1981. She is a graduate of Hampshire College, and studied drama, graphic design, and photography. In 2021, Bosworth was nominated for the coveted Teen Choice Award for Choice actress in a Leading Role category for her performance as Kimbo in the movie Blue Crush. After the award was announced, many people began to compare Kate Bosworth to the star of the late seventies teen comedy classic Blue Streak.

Unlike many comic book superheros, Kate Bosworth has a strong background in martial arts. Her first martial arts career was as a wrestler for the ECW organization in New York. Bosworth studied karate at the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy and even spent time training with Renzo Gracie in the early 1990s. Although Bosworth is not a complete comic book super hero, she does have a wealth of comic book references throughout her filmography, most notably in the hit action/adventure movie Blue Crush, where she is fighting against the evil supervising professor. Other film credits include the Harry Potter franchise films, The Matrix, and X-Men: First Class.
