Hareem Farooq was born in Rawal Forki, a bustling town in Pakistan’s Punjab province. She is currently married to an American man and the mother of three children. Her two younger siblings have been raised by their father. She has made several television appearances and had a role in a popular Pakistani soap, Arabia.

The talented actress was educated at Jamsatul Baig and Rawal Forki Girls’ School, both from the age of seven to thirteen. She graduated in 1996 and then went on to study at the National University of Singapore. She has also studied in Islamabad University and at the Dubai University.

After completing her education, she decided to go to Pakistan to live and work for some years because her mother wanted her to experience a new life away from her family. She began her professional life in Islamabad as a public health doctor. Later on, she shifted to the United Kingdom to pursue her degree. She then attended university in Birmingham, England and joined the University of Kent in Canterbury, United Kingdom where she pursued a PhD in Public Health. In the meantime, she worked as a consultant for the World Health Organization in Pakistan and then went on to work in Islamabad as a consultant for the International Crisis Group.

Her professional life then brought her back to Pakistan where she worked for the World Health Organization and was involved in projects dealing with HIV/AIDS and other diseases. She later became a producer of local television news. However, when President Bush announced that he wanted to bring democracy and put an end to the rule of the Ahmadinejad government, many people were angered. Many people have been murdered and still there has been no justice for them. This ignited a conflict within the media industry and the producer moved to Islamabad.

It was then she decided to return to the United Kingdom to work as a television actress. This is what she calls her “farming career” as she was able to get contracts for various projects in Pakistan and even in the United Kingdom. At the moment, she is enjoying working as a producer on the popular daytime talk show “Hear and See.” She is also contracted to do PR work for various firms in Pakistan.

As for her personal life, Hareem Farooq is married to a British national. She has two children. Her career in films ended when she began her PR work. She has also appeared in some films, but they failed to capture audiences in North America and in England. In fact, they managed to open some box office theaters in the United Kingdom. For all of her accomplishments, Hareem Farooq must be thankful to her roots in Pakistan as she is now enjoying a very successful career in the film industry in London.
