Rashmika Mandanna is an Indian actor and model who mostly work in Kannada and Telugu language films. She has also received multiple Filmfare Awards and several South Indian International Film Awards. The film industry in India is dominated by female characters, as many popular actresses have come up into the industry after turning out to be attractive and sexy. Rishma Mandanna was born in Pitampura, an erstwhile Portuguese colony on the East Coast of India. She is one of four sisters and has been playing the major role in all her siblings’ films since childhood. As a child, Rashmika did not perform properly in school as her classmates always considered her as slow. Her mother encouraged her to try for various roles in adult movies with disastrous results. Later on, her sister Laxmi encouraged her to try for an acting career in Hindi films and her first major role in that was ‘Chak De! ‘.

After enjoying some good results in her first film ‘Chak De! ‘, her career started to take shape when she appeared in the film ‘Shodh’ in the following year. She later won the first actress prize at the first Satellite Awards of the Cannes Film Festival in the category’Actress -Best Actress’ and was conferred with the same on the occasion of ‘Women in Motion – Females’. In the film, she played the character of Guddi, a prominent character who appeared as a sisterly love interest for the main character of the film.

Later, Rashmika got more popular with her appearances in Kismet Konnection’ as Nandita, in Apna Adsheswara and later in Telugu Deshorels movie ‘Nanban’ which went on to become the best selling Hindi film ever. In the film, she played the lead role opposite Anushka Shetty and later went on to star in the film ‘Mankatha’ opposite Anushka Shetty. She finally wrapped up her Hindi films in the year 1996 with the release of ‘Nanban’ alongside Sharukh Khan. In between, she appeared in some English films like ‘Singh in King size Bed’ and ‘Dracula’. Since then, she has gone on to appear in some popular Korean films like ‘The Man From Snowy Mountain’ and ‘The Mask’. Apart from these, she has also gone into the TV business in the name of a well known British soap opera called ‘PM’.

Nowadays, it is pretty tough to find any actor who can match up to Rashmika Mandanna’s glamour and appeal. However, one actor who may come close is actress Priyadarshan Sahoo who plays an air hostess in one of the recent Telugu cinema movies ‘Chikamgariput’ in the starring role. However, there is one actor who can lay claim to being the exact opposite of Mandanna, and that is Ajith Kumar, who is not only a superstar from India, but from all over the world as well. Like Ajit, he too began his career with small roles in small movies before making his name bigger with roles in Hollywood and Bollywood.
